(Flashback, Sailor Moon with Sailor Venus) Usagi (eyes sparkling): I’m so touched that my idol, Sailor V, is in front of me!

Minako: (with a flourish) Ta dah! (she puts her hands on her hips and smiles proudly)

(in the present, Venus cries at the memory) Usagi-chan!

USAGI IS ME IF I MET SAILOR V. If she was real. SHE KNOWS WHAT’S UP SHE KNOWS WHO’S AWESOME. But that’s the point isn’t it? Usagi saw all these girls for their awesome selves and embraced them for who they were, even when society wouldn’t.

Usagi did/does idolize Sailor V and she did say something like this when she first met Minako, though Minako didn’t do that adorable ta-dah just then (and how adorable is Usagi here as well. Her EYES ARE LITERALLY SPARKLES OF LOVE), but knowing Usagi, she probably didn’t stop gushing for a while and this scene happened later on.
